The Digitag LR long range reader offers an affordable, 'hands free' alternative to access control. Innovations and design improvements upon existing hands-free active tag platforms within the battery life and cost field removed these common objections, by providing a changeable battery, the tags do not have a limited life so under normal wear and tear conditions they will potentially provide many years of service.

Technology developed into the cards and tags (Optional depending on tags/card purchased) allow for motion-sensing that help preserve battery life, as there is no signal being transmitted while the tag is stationary.
