EasyGates Direct have extended their opening hours Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday’s 8:30am to 2:30pm. This means customers can live chat, email or call to place orders / get technical support during these times. Orders can still be placed 24/7 via the website at www.easygatesdirect.co.uk. The trade counter at the Halesowen site will also be open during these times. Managing Director Tony Daniels-Gooding said: ‘We have seen a growing need for earlier opening and later closing times and feel installers will especially benefit from being able to place an order and collect the following day on route to their first job of the day’.

With safety being at the forefront of every competent installers mind these days, it is important for a safety product to not only yield high performance properties, but also allow for swift assembly on site. The cleverly designed endcaps combined with the precise engineered rubber profile allows for swift execution of manufacturing. Whether you are carrying out maintenance or a new installation, our safety edge profiles are designed with the fitter in mind to produce high quality contact edges with ease.

The latest addition to the range is now available in 45mm, and can be simply clipped into the aluminium strip that the previous versions used before. 65mm and 85mm sizes will be available later in the year.

We have now successfully completed tests and launched the new online customised package option. This makes the online ordering process for customers greatly reduced. Customers are able to request tailor made options for products built around their individual buying history. Customers simply need to make contact with EasyGates Direct to confirm their interest in a personalised package option and we will be in touch to set this up. EasyGates Direct look at the products customers buy most regularly and set up ‘packages’ that include these items. Customers can then simply choose the package right for the job and click ‘buy’. It saves them time looking for individual items on the site, and minimises the likelihood of them forgetting items and accidently leaving them off orders.

With the influx of force testing equipment coming in to the UK gate and door industries in recent years, many installers are experiencing some confusion regarding which equipment best suits their needs.

To try and demystify things a little, EasyGates Direct have summarised the requirements regarding the two main types of force test standards.

EasyGates Direct will be exhibiting at FENCEX at stand 12, the only UK exhibition dedicated to perimeter security, on 17^th October at the NEAC in Stoneleigh.

The stand will include a number of safety products, access control and automation options. We will also be holding a seminar alongside the DHF to address common installer questions regarding the adoption of TS011 and any grey areas within the current code of practice.

Ryan Bate, 24 from Halesowen joined the team at the end of May as a Sales & Technical Advisor. Ryan has customer service and sales experience from his previous role at an Ironmongery Importers where they made and distributed a number of products including gates and fences.

Sean Spicer, 53 also from Halesowen will be joining the sales & technical division next month in an advisory role. Sean has a wealth of experience from spending a number of years as an electrician and installer.

We have launched a Carbon Monoxide Awareness Charity in memory of family member and employee, Gary Gooding called ‘No2Co’.

The aim of the charity is to increase awareness and prevent deaths from Carbon monoxide poisoning in memory of Gary Gooding who sadly passed away from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in his home last December.

No2Co will be working with the West Midlands Fire Service at Haden Cross, Halesowen and with Atlantic House Recovery Centre (ARC) who offer services to adults who use alcohol or drugs.
